Nigeria's Super Eagles secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations, booking their spot in the Round of 16. Victor Osimhen opened the scoring just before halftime with a header from Ademola Lookman's cross. The lead was doubled early in the second half by Wilfred Ndidi, who scored his first international goal, and Lookman added a third in the 67th minute.
However, Tunisia mounted a spirited comeback, with Montassar Talbi scoring in the 74th minute and Ali Abdi converting a penalty in the 87th minute. Despite late pressure, Nigeria held on to secure their place in the knockout stage, joining Egypt as the second team to qualify.
The win puts Nigeria top of Group C with six points, while Tunisia remains second with three points. The Super Eagles will face Uganda in their final group match on Tuesday, while Tunisia takes on Tanzania.
