Chijinkem writes that he wore the clothes he was manhandled in to the police station to write the statement.

In the statement, he accused the Nsukka Local Government Chairman, Jude Asogwa, of ordering thugs loyal to him to beat him up. One of the thugs is the CSO of Nsukka Local Government Area. The others are part and parcel of the LG administration, and close allies of the chairman.
