Residents of Ezimo community in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State have taken matters into their own hands to combat rising crime in the area. In a show of unity and determination, the community launched a vigilante group at Nkwo Ezimo, a central location in the town.

The group, made up of youths and elders, aims to work with security agencies to rid the community of criminals and ensure peace and security. Speaking at the launch, the President General of Ezimo Community said the vigilante group is a response to the increasing cases of theft, kidnapping, burglary, and other forms of crime in the area.

The group is equipped with necessary tools and equipment to aid their operations. Traditional leaders and government officials attended the launch, praising the community's initiative and promising support. This move demonstrates the community's resolve to take charge of their security and protect their properties.
